That's MY King!!!

"I wish I could describe Him to you . . . but He's indescribable. That's my King. He's incomprehensible, He's invincible, and He is irresistible.
I'm coming to tell you this, that the heavens of heavens can't contain Him, let alone some man explain Him. You can't get Him out of your mind. You can't get Him off of your hands. You can't outlive Him and you can't live without Him. The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found out they couldn't stop Him. Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him. The witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree about Him. Herod couldn't kill Him. Death couldn't handle Him and the grave couldn't hold Him. That's my King!"

Don't worry :)

I just want to take a moment to say

don't worry.

Lately, a lot of things have been going on that I could have worried about. And... I did. A *little bit* ;)
But you know what? Everything I worried about turned out better than I could have even hoped. I feel SO blessed!

I've heard a quote that says something like, "Worrying doesn't help tomorrow, but it brings down the joy of today".
That's so true. Worrying doesn't help anything, because the Lord already has a plan for you! Not just for today, but for the rest of your life.

So don't worry. Just trust the Lord.

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:25-34

So don't worry. The Lord will take care of you. Just trust in Him with all your heart.

God bless you!

Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Shamarah Sunshine :) Welcome to my *brand new* blog!!! I've blogged before in the past, but I wanted to start a new blog for a while for several reasons.

My goal for this blog is to honor Christ is everything. That doesn't mean that every single post will be Biblical-related, or that I'll have Scripture everywhere. Rather, like I said, my ultimate goal is to glorify God- to point people toward Him, to praise Him, to encourage others, ect. I know I'm going to end up with random posts, and probably some that don't mean much to you, my readers. In the process you will also learn a lot about me! :)

To start out with, I'll tell you a little about myself, which you can also read about in my profile :) First, and most importantly, I LOVE JESUS!!! I want to be more like Him, I love reading my Bible and spending time with my Lord. I also love to sing, especially hymns, but I'll own that I'm not much good at singing! ;)
I enjoy spending time with my large family, and we have lots of fun conversations together!
I'm eighteen years old, and I graduated last year. I love the color pink, I love Jersey cows (although I have never owned one, I have had the privilege of caring for one :) and chickens and farms, especially when they have a white picket fence and a big, red barn!
I enjoy watching movies, and writing letters, I like roses, and chocolate, playing piano, and reading, among many other things! :)
I love Israel, and it would be a dream come true for me to be able to visit Israel- especially Jerusalem, someday!!! I also would love to go on a mission's trip, anywhere.
Someday, if the Lord is willing, I want to get married to a godly man, have lots of darling children, homeschool them and teach them in the way of the Lord!

Also, since it will only take a minute, I'd like to share my testimony with you. I just copied it from my old blog! :)

I am very thankful that I am being raised in a Christian home. Because of this, I can't remember a time when I wasn't a Christian, I have always wanted to serve Jesus. I don't remember an exact time or date when the Lord saved me, but I remember at a young age wanting to read His Word, and grow in Christ. I am so thankful that Jesus chose to save me when I was young!
Actually, this last year (then summer of 2009) I was struggling with not having an "exciting" testimony. Then this summer at a church we were visiting, the pastor was preaching about that exact thing! It made me realize that it isn't just when or how you came to know the Lord, it's your daily walk with Christ that is your testimony!
I also want to share my favorite verse with you! It is so beautiful ♥
"I love the LORD, for He has saved my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling!"
Psalms 116:8
